Shakira's Baby Shower With Unicef

Shakira has been very well known to be the singer who gives back and never stops trying to reach and help the communities in need wall around the world. The soon-to-be mother throws a virtual baby shower, together with her boyfriend, Gerard Piqué from FC Barcelona, and UNICEF in order to benefit underprivileged babies.

Invitations are open for all Shakira's and Piqué's fans - and pretty much everybody in the world, to visit the "event" and learn about infant survival. More than that, guests can also purchase "inspirational gifts" for babies all around the world.

These gifts are real survival products that will be sent to the neediest communities and child in all countries through UNICEF Networks. The price ranges from $5 for mosquito net, $10 for polio vaccine, $35 for infant scale, to $110 for special food to help malnourished children and babies.

Shakira, the goodwill ambassador of UNICEF, said that all expecting parents share the same vision and want the best for their babies. "However, many don't have the same opportunities we do to give them a happy childhood free of preventable and easily cured illness. Together we can change that," she explains.
